Quantum Etchers
Terms of Service
The plain terms every quote and order is made under.
Last updated 2026-10-21
Quotes
A quote is an estimate based on what you tell us. It is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise. If the material, size, quantity or artwork changes, the price may change with it, and we will tell you before we proceed.
Custom work
Every piece is made to order. Once we have started cutting or engraving, the order cannot be canceled and materials already used are charged. Proofs you approve are what we make; check spelling, dimensions and placement carefully before approving.
Deposits and payment
Orders may require a deposit before work begins, shown on the invoice. The balance is due on completion before the piece ships or is collected. Invoices are payable by the methods shown on the invoice. Deposits on custom work are not refundable once work has started.
Your materials and artwork
If you supply the material, you accept the risk that it may react unexpectedly to the laser; we will tell you what we know in advance but cannot guarantee a result on material we did not source. You confirm that you have the right to use any artwork, logo or text you send us, and you are responsible for any claim arising from it.
Turnaround
Lead times are estimates. We will tell you promptly if an order is going to be late, and you may cancel an order that has not been started if the delay is unreasonable.
Quality and remakes
If a piece has a defect in our workmanship, tell us within 14 days of receiving it and we will remake or repair it at no charge. Natural variation in wood, leather, stone and similar materials is not a defect. We are not responsible for damage caused after delivery.
Limits
Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost time, lost profit or consequential damage.
Safety
Engraved and cut items may have sharp edges or small parts. They are not toys unless we say so, and you are responsible for their safe use.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of King County, Washington, unless we both agree to resolve it another way.
