Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Last updated 2026-10-21

Who we are

Quantum Etchers is a laser engraving and etching shop based in Covington, Washington. This policy covers quantumetchers.com and the emails we send from it.

What we collect

When you request a quote we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, and the details and any files you attach. When you pay an invoice, the payment is handled by our payment processor; we receive confirmation of the payment and the last four digits of the card, never the full card number. Our server keeps ordinary access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and to count visitors.

How we use it

To reply to your request, prepare and deliver your order, send invoices and receipts, and keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

The site sets a session cookie so forms and payments work. It carries no tracking and expires when you close the browser. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

Who else sees it

Our payment processor (for card payments), our email provider (to deliver mail), and our hosting provider (where the site runs). Each handles data under its own privacy terms. We share information with no one else unless the law requires it.

Photographs of your work

We may photograph finished pieces for our portfolio. If your piece is personal or you would rather it stay private, tell us when you order and we will keep it out of the gallery.

Keeping and deleting

Quote requests and order records are kept as long as we need them for accounting and warranty questions. Email us and we will delete your quote request and any attachments on request, except records we must keep by law.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing info@quantumetchers.com. We answer within a reasonable time.

Children

The site is for adults placing orders. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
